Samsung Electronics is facing an immense competition in budget mobile phone category due to the Chinese rivals. Comparatively new Chinese company Huwei has emerged as one of the biggest rival for Samsung. The Korean tech company decided to launch a new Galaxy M series back in September. This could possibly result in the death of Galaxy J line as well. The Galaxy M20 is a mid-range smart phone with some jaw dropping features. This would be the first budget smart phone with quad camera system. According to reports, this will also have massive battery 5,000mAh and entirely new infinity U water drop notch.
2018 brought new trends like the introduction of the display notch and the removal of headphone jack. Samsung didn’t forgone these entirely. The recently launched Samsung Galaxy A8s has removed headphone jack and last month Samsung has introduced new infinity displays with different types of notches. The Samsung Galaxy M20 features an infinity U display but it does have headphone jack according to reports so far.
The company has already begun the production of Galaxy M20 in Asia. The tech critics believe that it has good selling features to attract middle class users. Galaxy M20 will have an Exynos 7885 system on chip with 3GB of RAM, M20 seems to be an interesting new addition in company’s line and may be released in early next year. Rumors suggest that it will be around $200 to $200. Galaxy M10 will be a low-end smartphone under $150. Samsung has given its best with Galaxy M20 to beat the competition in budget mobile phones.
Samsung is trying to revamp its mid-range series with premium features. In big countries like India and China, Samsung faced tough competition from Xiaomi in the mid-range mobile phone. Xiaomi replaced Samsung in Q4 2018 and Q1 2018 completely. We have to wait till M20 actually release in the market to see user’s response and if offering battery size 5000mAh is enough to attract users back to Samsung or not.
