Samsung rolled out another new android Pie beta update for Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the fourth update to be precise. The update is rolling out in Asia, Germany and South Korea. It has a small change log and the update is minor one. It would be also available in other parts of the world where the beta program was launched. The software version accompanying the new update is N960FXXU2ZRLT.
We were hoping that Samsung will roll out the stable version for Galaxy Note 9 but it seems there are still some things in process. This particular update seems to fix some touch related issues. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ needed hot fix updates twice over the course of the beta program, but so far, Galaxy Note 9 didn’t need any such hot fix.
How to download the Android Pie update for Galaxy Note 9
- Go into Settings > Software update menu on your smartphone.
- Tap the Download > Install option.
- The internet would start to download the update patch and it should be instantly available for install. It may require few tries to begin downloading.
- You can also check Samsung Members app for the update. As soon as the update is available, you get the notification regarding it.
If you don’t like to go on the Android Pie beta path, then you have to wait hopefully till February 2019 when the full portion of Pie is expected to be available for the Galaxy Note 9 users. It would be the second device among other 20 different Samsung devices to receive the expected stable Pie update throughout 2019. If you are downloading the update for the first time, you are going to need to register for the Android Pie beta program first. After a quick signup you will be greeting with an OTA update which will bring the Android Pie and One UI to the Galaxy Note 9.
