Samsung has been working on the foldable smartphone for a few years now. So far, we had rumors about the design and its specification but we weren’t sure about its existence. But this isn’t the case anymore. Samsung Galaxy Foldable is about to realize in near future and it won’t be just a concept or dream to achieve. Samsung’s foldable now has a name, the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the company is revealing more about this unique smartphone.
Samsung has plans to reveal the Galaxy Fold on April 26, 2019, with a huge price tag – $1,980. This is obviously a phone not everyone can afford to have but its technology is new and expensive which justifies its high price to some extent. There will be a free pair of Samsung’s new wireless earbuds for anyone buy Galaxy Foldable. Samsung may launch the device in Europe on May 3rd, starting at 2,000 euros.

The one thing that is new and was never covered before in any leak, is its sturdy backbone of the device with a hinge system and interlocking gears. All of these gears are hidden at the rear of the device and allows the Galaxy Fold to transform from tablet to phone modes. Samsung says, it has the ability to be folded at least 200,000 times, which works perfectly well for 5 years if you fold it 100 times a day. The rear triple camera system is used for phone and tablet modes. There is a 16MP ultra-wide camera alongside 12MP camera for the front. Samsung is working on possible colors for the Galaxy foldable but it’s the main tablet display that is the key.
