Samsung is known for its beautifully designed, innovation and technology advancements but for a year, the Korean Giant had to experience some sales drop due to the Chinese companies. These are new Chinese companies but they managed to win hearts of many users by providing budget friendly smartphones with premium features. So far, Samsung was relying on Galaxy J series and its vast distribution network. Despite, the devices were relatively just an iterative models, sale was good till Xiaomi and other Chinese companies came to the surface.
Xiaomi has been India’s leading smartphone for six continuous quarters, and it achieved this growth by focusing on the budget conscious users. Xiaomi managed to sell over 41 million smartphones in India in 2018 alone. Samsung decided to come up with a new strategy for 2019 to get what is lost. Samsung started off the year with the launch of Galaxy M20, the first in a new series aimed at youngsters. The Galaxy M20 has a fresh design with robust specifications including a fast processor Exynos 7904 – but the coolest thing about the phone was its price. Samsung is known for pricey smart phones but Galaxy M20 has changed that.
With the Galaxy A50, Samsung is all set to rule the tech industry in the country again. There are three models in the Galaxy A series – Galaxy A10, A30, and A50. The A10 is an entry-level segment, A30 offers similar hardware to the M20 but A50 is the real deal. The 4GB/64GB version of the Galaxy A50 retails for just $285 which is staggering when you look at its features. The Galaxy A50 has an in-screen fingerprint sensor, making it one of the very few devices with a price tag less than $300.
