Samsung Galaxy S10+ isn’t a phone everyone can afford. It comes with 128GB storage but you can expand the storage to 512GB model by spending extra money and this one terabyte variant sets you back $2599. Samsung next flagship smartphone Samsung fold may even get close to four grand after GST and other taxes are added. Then there is another Galaxy S10+ 5G with support to 5G network and greatest cellular technology, a slightly bigger screen and time-of-flight cameras with 3D depth sensing. Galaxy S10+ 5G is even going to cost you more because of its added features and 5G support which isn’t even available in the market yet.
No doubt, the Galaxy S10+ is a premium smartphone that is very nicely put together. It has Gorilla glass 6 for the front and Gorilla glass 5 for the back, with a prismatic finish, achieved with nano-film. It could be too much for some people, but overall it looks very stylish. Then there is a stunning curved dynamic infinity-O AMOLED display that measures 6.4-inches diagonally, and can be set to a very high 3044 x 1440 pixel resolution. By default, the S10+ runs at a lower resolution 2280 x 1080, and in both cases you get an aspect ratio of 19:9.
The display covers most of the area and is HDR10+ certified with bright colors and two million to one contrast ratio. It emits 40 percent less nasty blue light which is culprit of sleepless nights if you keep your cellphone near you in bed while trying to sleep. Samsung has put an ultrasonic reader into the display so there is no bezel at the bottom of the device. Samsung tried to follow the Apple’s facial recognition feature but unfortunately, it is not as good as Apple’s and does not work in low light. So it is better to switch to fingerprint scanner for security. There is no notch on the Galaxy S10+, but the twin front cameras have a little hole cut for them in the screen.
