Samsung sent out a global invitation for its Galaxy Event 2019 being held on April 10th. The event is now over but it offered way more than it was expected. Samsung revealed Galaxy A devices designed for the era of live. The reveal took place in Bangkok, Milan, and Sao Paulo. The main event was held in Bankok, Thailand where company CEO DJ Koh took the stage to unveil the company’s latest A series of smartphones. Samsung has killed its J series, merging into the A series, with the introduction of the Galaxy A20e and Galaxy A40. These are at the lower end of the A series and affordable ones.
The Galaxy A70 makes live video communication more vibrant. It has Samsung’s Infinity-U display which a notch just the size of the front-facing camera and packs the firm’s super AMOLED panel for vibrant colors. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear side, the device is equipped with a triple camera set-up. There is one primary camera, another for depth to take blur backgrounds in portrait mode and an ultra-wide angle lens. The Galaxy A70 has a large battery of size up to 4,500 mAh, and it supports 25W super-fast charging. The Samsung Galaxy A70 release date is April 26, and it will be available in four colors – black, blue, white, and pink.
The highlight of this event was Galaxy A80. This features a new reversible camera system. The device camera array flips when changed into selfie mode. You can read more about it here. It has 48MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide and a time-of-flight sensor. As there is no traditional front camera, there is no need for any punch or hole in the display. The Galaxy A80 has 6.7-inch super AMOLED new infinity display with no notch or hole. The phone has 3,700 mAh battery which supports fast charging at 25 watts, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Like the other forthcoming, A-series devices, Galaxy A80 has an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
