Samsung is ready to rule again – this time in the budget category of smartphones as well. Samsung was known for its innovative, stunning, yet expensive smartphones but now it has made new marketing and sales move by introducing Galaxy A series. This move seems to be the right one. While the Galaxy A phones are now available in other parts of the world, the company is hoping to make over $4 billion in revenues by the end of the year 2019 in India alone. The sales trend of Galaxy A suggests that this goal isn’t too ambitious. Samsung has already sold over 2 million units of the latest Galaxy A smartphone.
Samsung revealed the Galaxy A10, A30, and A50 in February. Due to its good reviews, a few premium features, and mid-level price tag Samsung is making good progress. The company has now included the Galaxy A70 in India. It features a similar design to A50 with a 3D gradient at the back. The handset has 6.7-inch super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 2400 x 1080px. The device has ultra-narrow bezels around the display and an infinity-U style notch on the top. For biometrics and security, it supports facial recognition technology and in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy A70 is powered by 11nm Snapdragon 675 SoC, octa-core CPU and Adreno 612 GPU for graphics. The phone has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 32MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. Galaxy A70 has 4,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging via the type-c port. It also a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 512GB. The smartphone runs on Samsung’s new OneUI out of the box with latest Android 9 Pie. It is offered in three colors, Black, Blue, and White.
