Samsung is launching its next M series – Galaxy M40 on June 11 in India. So far, the leaks about the hardware specifications are moderate, but one of the leak by Ishnan is interesting. He suggested that Galaxy M40 will not have an earpiece. The sound will come directly from the display of the device and there won’t be any headphone jack. Externally it looks something similar to Galaxy A60 and will launch in three colors in India. The price tag for this device may fall somewhere in the mid-range of budget smartphones.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M series in India about four months ago. These devices have been priced to compete with Chinese smartphone manufacturers. So far, the Galaxy M10, M20, and M30 have provided a great value for its price tag and this is one of the reason, it sells well online. The specs are decent enough for the price being asked. With Galaxy M40, the company is expanding its M series further. According to the recent leaks, it will have a 32MP camera at the rear end and will be around $285 which seems a decent one.
The device has a gigantic screen of 6.3-inch Full HD+ with 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution. it has Infinity-O display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor to power the device. The memory is going to be around 6GB and 128GB is used for storage. The only possible drawback here is the battery which is only 3,500mAh. For a screen size of 6.3-inch, it should have at least 5000mAh to keep it charge for the whole day, but still, if you are not the heavy user, 3500mAh battery is good enough for you. With a 32-megapixel camera at the rear side, it has 5MP depth and 8MP ultra-wide sensor. A 16MP selfie camera is present as well. The Galaxy M40 will be the first mid-range device to ship with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. You can buy it online after June 11 from Amazon and Samsung’ own online store in the country.
