Last year, Samsung launched Galaxy XCover 4 and now its predecessor is ready to be released this year. It is the fifth generation XCover series and maybe Samsung wanted to cash the success of XCover 4 by adding s for marketing purposes. The recently complete specification for the XCover 4s has been surfaced. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4s handset features a 5.0” display with a screen resolution of HD (1280 x 720 px) and runs Android 9 Pie operating system. The device is powered by octa-core 2.2 GHz, dual-core, Cortex A73 ) processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The storage is 32GB which can be further extended using the external slot for expansion.
For selfies, there is a 4MP camera on the front side and the rear camera is 16MP camera lens has artificial intelligence features which optimize pictures and videos for better quality. For low light situation, there is an on-screen flash feature to capture the perfect pictures. The battery is replaceable and has 2800mAh capacity which can be charged using USB-C charger. For connectivity, it features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 3.5 mm audio jack. It has an intuitive display which lets you interact with the display even when you wearing gloves so you can still use it while working outside or having humid weather.
The main selling feature of Galaxy XCover 4s is its durability. The Galaxy XCover 4s is thinner hardware and has an easy-to-grip non-slippery finish. It won’t slide out of your hand unexpectedly while on the go. It meets IP68* and MIL-STD 810G* standards which make sure that your device is protected against dust and water. It can survive up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes and it is protected from dust, dirt, and sand. It doesn’t have any fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy XCover 4s is expected to be priced around $282.
