Samsung finally debuted its latest Galaxy smartphone – Note 10. The biggest thing so far is that the company launched two Galaxy phones instead of one for the first time ever. Instead of giving away just one Note 10, there is also a Note 10 plus variant. There are a lot of specifications that are in common in both phones, such as the devices are powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor and runs the same operating system Android Pie with Samsung’s One UI. Both devices have a 10MP front-facing camera within the centered punch-hole display cutout.
On the rear side, the main cameras are also the same with 12MP with three aperture stops at f/1.5 and f/2.4. There is also a 16MP wide-angle camera lens and 12MP telephoto lens. The Note 10 plus has an additional ToF sensor to the combination. There is also a video editor and Night mode with both devices. Although these two devices have different size of the display screen. The Galaxy Note 10 offers a 6.3-inch FHD + with super AMOLED display and 2280 x 1080 resolution. The Galaxy Note 10 plus, on the other hand, has a 6.8-inch display size with QHD+ super AMOLED display. Both have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Samsung also has retained some of the huge storage and RAM allotments on the Galaxy Note 10 series. The Note 10 has 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, with the Note 10 plus topping out with 128GB RAM and 25GB or 512GB storage. The Note 10 plus gets a MicroSD slot, and it supports up to 1TB. The Note 10 has a smaller version of battery which is 3,500mAh battery and the Note 10+ has a 4,300mAh battery. Samsung is finally moving to adapt USB-C power for fast charging with 25W. The Note 10+ can support 45W charging. Wireless charging also got an upgrade with up to 12W on Note 10 and 20W on the Note 10+.
Note 10 also introduced a new feature called Air Gesture. The feature can control certain aspects of navigating the Note 10’s interface with motion tracking. This is enabled by a 6-axis accelerometer within the stylus. Developers will also have APIs available to take advantage of that functionality. The phone starts at $999.
