Samsung Galaxy Fold has been in news for some time now for good and bad reasons. The technology was unbelievable at first and no one was convinced that it will work till Samsung made it to reality. The first release of Galaxy Fold early this year had to face some embarrassment. The fragile foldable screen couldn’t even last for two days. This could be the end of the foldable dream but Samsung decided to work even better on the display and redesign the hardware which wasn’t a good fit for the foldable.
Samsung has already released the Galaxy fold in the US and South Korea. So far, there aren’t any complaints associated with it. Now, the Galaxy Fold is coming to India. The pre-orders are starting in the first week of October, with deliveries expected to begin from October 20. You can pre-order the Galaxy Fold through the company’s official site, Samsung Shop, and Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru. It will also be available through select retail outlets in 35 cities across the country. It’s priced at a whopping INR164,999 ($2,320/€2,130).
For such a huge price tag, Samsung is offering high-end technical support for its fold customers along with one-year protection for infinity flex display. This includes accidental damage protection and a one-time free screen replacement. Besides, the Galaxy Fold will come bundled with an Aramid Fiber case and Galaxy Buds. The Samsung Galaxy Fold boasts two AMOLED screens – a 7.3″ foldable display and a 4.6″ cover display. Under the cover, the Galaxy Fold has a Snapdragon 855 SoC with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It is available in Cosmos Black color, packs a 4,380 mAh battery, and features a total of six cameras. The best news is that the gap between the two halves when folded has been noticeably reduced, which in turn means that the handset is thinner than its previous iteration when folded.
