Recently, Samsung rolled out the update for the Galaxy watch active2 and it brings some unexpected changes. The GPS performance in the watch has improved and there is also a bug fix related to the GPS with the update as well. In addition, the accuracy of the battery meter complication has been improved. The most exciting feature is the touch-sensitive bezel of the smartwatch which has been enabled by default now.
The first Galaxy watch active smartwatch didn’t have a rotating bezel. It was featured as a UI feature on Samsung wearables since the Samsung Gear S2. The Galaxy watch active 2 did bring the feature back with the software update but in a new way. The touch-sensitive bezel would let the user navigate through the UI without blocking the display with a finger.
With the latest update, Samsung has enabled the feature as the default one so the customers no longer need to go through the display or settings on a prepaid smartwatch. You can still turn the feature off if you don’t want to use the touch-bezel. It comes with a bigger customize screen and fresh new look to give you precise health insights when you need it.
Monitoring your health is at the core of Galaxy Watch Active2 with a full eight photodiodes on the rear side of a new curved design that wraps around your wrist. Health monitoring keeps an eye on your heart rate and sends you an alert when it goes above or below normal levels.5,9
