According to the latest rumor about Samsung Galaxy S11 has a code name ‘Hubble’. This is a name of a famous space telescope which suggests that Samsung Galaxy S11 might have a massive camera zoom functionality. Its predecessor Galaxy S10 offers only 2x optical zoom which is a disappointment for many mobile photography enthusiasts. We have already heard that the Samsung Galaxy S11 might have a camera with 5x optical zoom and this code name more likely to represent that.
Given that space telescopes are used to look in the space at the distant objects, it’s a name that strongly suggests that the device will have an impressive zoom ability. The official sources haven’t confirmed anything yet, nor have they said anything about the rumor on the 108MP camera. They did suggest, however, that multiple devices will be launched with this Hubble camera lens in the upcoming year. This will be a considerable upgrade over the previous S series devices.
Periscope zoom isn’t new to the mobile devices and we have already seen it with Huawei P30 Pro and the Oppo Reno 10x zoom but it would be the first one for Samsung. Samsung has apparently worked on this technology for some time now, as according to Samsung, the development is already on the timeline of six months. Samsung Galaxy S11 is expected to be launched in February next year, and since then we have got plenty of time for more leaks to come.
