Samsung Galaxy Z Flip – The first impression

Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Z flip is getting more positive reviews. It seems that people just get enough of this foldable device that is light-weight and fits perfectly in your hand. The only problem that you may find with the device is paying $1380 that is more than you would pay for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus. The first thing you will notice is the number of heads it can turn with just one look. While you are folding or unfolding the phone, people would stop and wonder, wait, that’s something new. When this happened the last time you buy a new gadget?

The device when folded has a small 1.1-inch cover display that isn’t too fancy or big, but it is enough to display the basic notifications and quick information like the time, battery percentage, caller ID, etc. Inside the folded scree, there is flex UI, which enables you to multitask with two apps at the same time. In some cases, it enables the controls of one app to be laid out across the full HD+ screen. For example, while taking the selfie, you can see the preview on the top screen while all controls are displayed on the bottom of the display. The phone works great even when folded in half for video calls.

The device when opened has 6.7-inch display with 1080 x 2636 pixels. It is powered by a 3,300mAh battery which may not seem enough for some users. The device comes with Android 10 out of the box. It lets you connect with Wi-Fi and use hotspot feature. Now, talk about the camera. You may like the camera but it is not the best camera you can find on Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy S20 features some real internals and better camera sensors. People with a good budget may find it confusing to decide between the Galaxy Z flip and Galaxy S20 (releasing in March 2020). The phone is definitely a new concept and you might love the foldable.
