Galaxy M10 or M20. Which one you should buy if budget is your main concern?

Samsung’s new Galaxy M10 and M20 are the company’s new budget smart phones. M series is going to replace mid-range Galaxy J series in some countries. M series was the immediate response from the Samsung to the rising competition in affordable smart phones. Samsung tried to re-capture its users who keep price in mind when making the purchase decision which was lost to its Chinese rivals. Both the M10 and M20 offer some premium features.

The Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 are the first Samsung phones with an infinity-V display. They have a waterdrop style notch for the front camera. Both devices uses an ultra-wide camera as part of the dual camera system. The Galaxy M20 uses a huge battery of up to 5,000mAh battery whereas Galaxy M10 has only 3,400mAh battery. M20 has a fairly powerful processor and an ultra-wide rear camera. The price tag is also an impressive as it is supposed to be a budget friendly mobile phone. The phone is thick and light. You can’t really tell from first impression that it holds such a gigantic battery.

M20 has 6.3 inch display without the dimensions you see on Galaxy phones with traditional infinity displays. Galaxy M10 has 6.2 inch display with 720x 1520 pixels. Galaxy M10 has HD+, whereas M20 has Full HD+ resolution. Both use octa-core Exynos processor but M20 has 1.8GHz, 6x Cortex-A53 cores at 1.6GHz, and uses Mali G71 GPU for graphics. M10 is of 1.6GHz, 8x Cortex A53cores and uses Mali T830 M GPU as graphical processing unit. M20 has 4GB RAM whereas M10 as 3GB.  

Now let’s talk about the camera. You are going to fall in love with its ultra-wide camera. Both uses 13Mp with F1.9 aperture as primary and 5MP ultra=wide F2.2 secondary aperture camera at rear side, for front side, it uses 8MP F2.0 aperture camera lens. It is a very useful feature compared to having a secondary camera for bokeh effect. This is a premium feature which Samsung decided to bring in budget smartphone. M20 has double storage capacity than M10 which has 16GB/32DB storage. Galaxy M10 and M20 is still using Android 8.1 Oreo as operating system with Samsung Experience UX.
