Samsung Galaxy S10 camera now supports Hyperlapse mode

Samsung released a major security update last month that introduced a new amazing feature to Galaxy S10e/S10 and S10+. Most of these updates are related to the camera, and now there is a new feature Hperlapse being added to the existing camera feature. The Galaxy S10 lineup now has the ability to record videos in hyper-lapse mode.

Hperlapse mode isn’t new to smartphones. It is a feature that allows you to create your own time-lapse video. It records video at different frame rates which automatically adjust to what you are recording.

To use the hyper-lapse mode, you will need to:

  1. Choose Apps from the home screen, or swipe up to access your apps.
  2. Choose a camera
  3. Choose hyper-lapse. Choose Mode to select the hyper-lapse mode.
  4. Tap the record button.
  5. Tap the stop icon.

To adjust the speed of the hyper-lapse, you will need to tap the hyper-lapse speed icon. Choose the desired speed and tap the record button. Tap the stop icon. To view the captured hyper-lapse, choose the preview thumbnail. It is good to have such a functionality built-in in the camera’s app so users don’t have to opt for third-party solutions.

The front camera works in a similar way the rear camera does. You can change the speed of the video or you can leave it to the default auto setting and let the camera decide the playback speed. The update is rolled out in Europe and will be rolled out for other countries as well. You just need to be patient and wait till the update goes live in your country. The expansion has been slower than usual but we can only assume the best from Samsung.
