We are almost 2 weeks away from the New Year and Samsung revealed another Galaxy A series phone out of now where. There were no leaks, no rumors, or even official announcement before release. The phone is called Galaxy A01 and belongs to the budget category. Last week, we saw the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 from Samsung. Since the competition in the budget category is getting immense, Samsung has started to focus more on the entry-level devices to stand out in the market and with A series, the company is getting great sales numbers.
The company didn’t invested much effort in the marketing of this phone which seems strange. As the phone seems good enough to attract the attention of the consumers. However, Samsung did upload a page on the official website to mention its specifications. You can read more about the tech specs and videos on the official page. From the outside, it looks more like a plastic phone but it has strong specs that made up for the design.
The Galaxy A01 features a big 5.7-inch screen with a 720p display with a water drop infinity-V notch. This is certainly one of Samsung’s lower-end displays as Super AMOLED is not mentioned. The notch has a 5MP camera for taking selfies. On the backside, there are two cameras – a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone is powered by Octa-core processor and has a 3,000mAh battery. There is 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM, with 128GB internal storage, and a micro SD slot up to 512GB. This seems like good storage for a low budget smartphone. The phone will be available in a few weeks in the market and will be available in Red, Blue, and Black colors.
